Information not being inserted into footers during testing

I

Igor

Hello,

I am developing an application on a Vista Machine with VS 2008. In my app, I
have some interop commands such as AddLine() and executerange that add
information to footers in the document. On my development machine in Vista,
these all get drawn and inserted correctly. When I try it on an XP machine,
nothing is being inserted into the footers. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot
this? The code is identical so it must be something else.

Thanks,
Igor

Which version of Word is involved? Is it the same version on both OS? If not,
please specify OS/Word version.

What other things is your application doing via the Interop with Word, besides
writing to the footer? Are those things executing correctly?

Please show us the code segments that

- access the Word interop
- write to the footer

Even though you may think these don't play a role, they could, as there are
different ways these things can be done...

I resolved it and narrowed it down to the Office installation on my
computer. Tried it on other XP computers and it worked fine. Reset Word to
factory settings and it worked again.
