I would like to know how to create some kind of shortcuts so that instead of
typing some long words, you just type un to three letters and the rest of the
word appears.
Somebody show me that, but I forgot and now this person is no longer living
in this country, and I have no contact for him.
Thanks in advance for your help.

TOOLS / OPTIONS / Spelling and Grammar / Tick (check) Correct Spelling as
you type.
Ok yourself out.
Test.

Open the Tools > AutoCorrect Options dialog. Put the short form in the
Replace box, and put the long form in the With box. Then click the Add
button.

The short form isn't limited to three letters, but it does have to be
one "word" (that is, no spaces). Take a look at the rest of the list
to see what's possible.

There's another, similar feature called AutoText
(http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/AutoText.htm) that isn't
quite so automatic but has a few neat tricks of its own.
