In Outlook 2002 you can right click in the body of your
message and insert a hyperlink to a file on your computer
or network. In Outlook 2002 you can browse for the file,
select the file, and the hyperlink shows up in the email.
In Outlook 2003, it appears that the only way to
accomplish this is by manually typing the file path after
typing <file://, or by going to Insert-Hyperlink on the
tool bar, in which case you still have to type the entire
file extension. This is much more inconvenient and is
condusive to errors, especially when file extensions are
long. Is there anyway to do it like you can in Office
2002? Perhaps an update download or add-in? I don't know
why they would not include this handy feature in the newer
version.
