Insert movie from file... nothing happens....

I am trying to insert a movie (wmv) from a file.
To test I have two copies of this file... one on a network drive (path and
file name length = 57 chars), the other on my hard drive (path and file name
length = 140 chars).

When I add the movie from the network share and test, the movie plays as
expected....
But when I add the movie from my harddrive and test, the movie does not play
(movie object goes from black to white and does nothing)...

Is there a max path length for a linked file?
Any other ideas why this would not work?

There is a max path length of about 128 characters. That's the source of your
problem.
