Insert picture with varying results!

We have a set of EMF images generated by a CAD system which were
intended to be imported "insert picture" as full page images.

In practice we find that sometimes the images appear as full page
(On-screen show 19.05 x 25.4cm) but more often than not the image
appears smaller (17.99 x 23.98cm).

We thought it might be due to a setting (Large/Small fonts) but with no
proof.

Is there a way of ensuring that an image can be imported and that it
appears at a given size?

It would be easy to pull the corned out to fit the page or by writing a
macro but surely this can be done at the "insert picture" level?

Probably the size of the image has a lot to do with it. If you set the image
size during the conversion to 1024x768 pixels, then default page size of
19.05x25.4cm should be met. You might want to look at Shyam Phillai's Image
Import Wizard at http://skp.mvps.org/iiw.htm

Do you mean that the screen size on the computer has an influence?

We work with a laptop and external screen in extended desk top mode.
The laptop is at 1024x768 and the monitor at 1280x1024. I generally
work with PPT on the monitor - perhaps I should use the laptop screen
for this application!

Belay that! (Doesn't work)

If I look at the EMF file properties it says 682 x 512 pixels at 72dpi

I will look at the import wizard

If you could change the output of the EMF file to read 720x540 pixels at
72dpi, your image would fit the default PowerPoint screen

The EMF properties came from right clicking the file.

I must say I thought it was a bit strang efor a vector file but I
assumed that MS knew best.
