inserting callouts

I'm trying to insert callouts. Somehow I insert the
callout, but then it turns into a regular text box, and
then only the copy remains. How do I get the callout to
stay there? I'd appreciate your help with this. THANKS!

It could be that the "autoshape" (that is what you are using?) has been set to the same color as your page. (give it a
different color)

It could also be that the yellow diamond shape (autoshape adjuster thing) has been set to to far near the callout.
(click and drag the yellow diamond shape thing)

Just double checking....by callout, do you mean the "speech box" type shape?
