inserting dxfs into Word 2002

Hi,
For years I've been happily creating images in Autocad, saving as r12 dxfs
and importing them into word to combine with illustrations. I've been doing
this with Word 2002, with no trouble, until last week when we upgraded to
office 2002. Now I can't insert them; the filter has vanished.
It's no good exporting them as wmfs from Acad 'coz all the polylines (closed
or open) break up into lttle bits which means I can't use fills.
Help please.
Has microsoft deliberately removed the filter? Is it available to download?

The .dxf graphics filter is not included in Office XP or Office
2003. But you can custom-install that filter from a previous
version of Office.

Thanks,
I've passed that on to our IT guy.
We should still have the disc from the old version.
