install 0ffice ultimate 2007

My new computer came with a home student trial version of office. I
downloaded a trial version of office pro 2007. I now want to convert to
office ultimate 2007 which I have purchased. When I enter my product key it
shows as invalid.
Do I need to remove other versions in order to activate my most recent
version?
