Actually our first problem is we are trying to upload the saved webpage.

For some reason, I cannot use the FrontPage "Publish Web" feature and I'm
trying to upload it using Cute FTP.

The upload seems to go through, but when we preview the uploaded page, it
doesn't show up as an update - it shows up as the old page.

I seem to have this problem with other websites I try to update.

Do I need a new version of FrontPage? We are using 2000.

Any reason you aren't using the ftp publish feature of FrontPage??

Also, you need to check the server settings and see what the home page needs to be named.
You can do this by opening the live site different ways.
www.site.com/index.htm
www.site.com/index.html
www.site.com/default.html

if your local copy is index.htm and the server is using index.html as the default you are publishing
index.htm but looking at index.html in the browser.
