I'm running XPPro (no sp1/sp2) - Norton 2005 Internet security
I'm trying to install Office2000.
It takes my name/initials/company
I take the normal install
Up pops a window that says it's 'checking for resources' (Sorry - I can't
recall exactly). The bar implies that it's a little over half way through
the process, and it hangs.
I did go to the 'temp' directory and fouind the 'Office 2000 Pro Setup
MSexec.txt file. The last line in it was 'Install Initialize'.
I've cleared out the 'Temp file'. Found 'Office' in the registries
'LOCAL_MACHINE'\'SOFTWARE' and deleted it. Alas, to no avail.
What's up with this? What do I need to do?
