Install problems

I am trying to install Office Professional 2000 on a new
computer (old one died a tragic death). However; It gets
almost all the way to the end and then a pop up says

"Error 1919. Error configuring ODBC data source: M S
Access Database, ODBC error 6: Component not found in
the registry. Verify that the M S Access Database exists
and that you can access it"

Sounds simple, but I'll be dipped if I know what it
means. I'd appreciate any help.
