installing 2000 upgrade

Hi, i have office 97 installed and recently bought a
office 2000 pro upgrade. On installing it asks me to
enter a 25 digit CD key but the one supplied is only 10
digits long. The CD is authentic as it has the correct
hologram on th front and was bought from a large, reliable
retail outlet. Can anyone tell me what i'm doing wrong
please?

The serial numver is 10 digits but the CD key consists of 5 blocks of 5
letters/numbers
