I have FP 2003 and the FP 2002 SDK. I want to create a bot that works
during author-time, kicking in when the page is published, like "TimeStamp"
or "Include". I've created the necessary files according to the SDK, but I
can't seem to figure out how or where to install them so they will work. The
SDK only talks about server-side and client-side components, and an
author-time component isn't either. Installing in the BOTS folder or in a
site-specific _vti_bots folder and recalculating the hyperlinks doesn't seem
to do the trick.
Is this even possible, or is it something I need to do with an add-in or in
VBA? I had decided on a bot so that FP would handle all the details of
previewing and publishing the inserted HTML, but maybe that was a bad choice.
