I am running into the same problem Michael. One exception
is that XP does install from the CD, and upon completion a
popup informs me the installation is complete. But when
typing a document it will neither let me "save as" (only
one letter presents as the title), nor does the saved
document have any saved message in it. I get an error
message that the document will be closed and my work will
be lost. I'd appreciate what you find out, and I will do
the same, as I am going to call Dell right now. Let me
know, please,
