I recently purchased a HP Pavilion, AMD Athlon 64
Processor 3200+. It came with a 60-day trial of Office
2003.
I still have an Office 97 disk (Professional Edition
w/certification - not an upgrade - labeled for
distribution with a new pc only) that came with a pc I
scrapped.
I tried to install Office 97 on the new pc when I
first got it but ran into problems with it running slow -
hang-ups, freezes, etc., so I freaked out, uninstalled it
and reluctantly started using the 60-day Trial version
that came preloaded - which is about to expire.
Can anyone layout the steps I can take to successfully
install Office 97 and get it functioning properly under
Windows XP Home Edition (Service Pack 2)?
Thanks,
Joe
