Installing on new computer>Entourage does not start up

Just got a new iMac and transferred everything over from the Powerbook via
firewire. Brilliant. Can't get Entourage to work, however. All other Office
2004 applications are fine. Did the usual: fix permissions and trash
preferences. Noticed another plist file under MS User Data (?); would that
be causing the conflict?

Thanks in advance.

I'm going to guess that there was already a demo version of Office on
this "new iMac". Sometimes one is bundled with new machines. If so, use
the Remove Office application to remove Office completely - I mean
completely! Now install it fresh. That might be a good approach in any
case; it sounds like something might be missing from the equation. m.

That's initially what I thought too Matt, and trashed the trial version
immediately. In the end, it was actually Quicktime (having two versions; one
from the original transfer; the other with the system software). I finally
got a bug report to show up. So I trashed my old version of QT Pro, and
downloaded 7. That did the trick. I'm completely blown away by the quality
of the iMac display. Makes it hard to work on the ol' TiBook now.

Thanks for your help.

Best,

Steven

Yes, I've always been a little jumpy about that Migration Assistant. But
it sure does save time for newbies. Glad you got it sorted! m.
