"insufficient rights" when logon Outlook XP to EXCH 2000

G

Gerhard

When I try to open my Exchange account I get the
Message "Outlook cannot start. You do not have sufficient
rights to log on" (hope translated well).

Outlook is SP3, Excahgen is Version 6.0 SP3.

It is NOT a domain logon problem, cause I can logon to the
domain normally and browse through the network shares of
the server.
And : I can logon with the same username an password from
any other workstation in the networks.

Whats wrong with my Outlook ?

Does it help to reinstall Office ?

Thanks for an idea !

Gerhard

Check your mail profile whether it is configured for the correct mailbox. If
it is correct and it still fails have your mail sdministrator take a look at
the permissions set on mailbox through Active Directory Users & Computers.

Thanks for that idea !

The mail profile is o.k., I can logon with the same
settings on other workstations.
I also tried to rename the workstation (out from domain,
new name, into domain) -> no better result.

What kind of group policies are there you noticed ?

Thanks for help !

It works on other systems? Have you already recreated the mail profile;
Control Panel-> Mail-> button Show Profiles...

Group Policies don't have anything to do with this.

Of course I deleted the profile, added a new one and put
the exchange server settings there ;-)
Also the "check name" function in the exchange server
settings is working : typing the "half" name,
pressing "check name" shows me the full user name.

Outlook still tells me that I don't have rights to log
on :-(
