Intercepting Ctrl+Shift+F12

Word 2000

I have a macro project where I intercept the built-in Word printing
functions using FilePrint and FilePrintDefault routines. However, documents
can also be printed using Ctrl+Shift+F12, which is NOT intercepted by either
routine. Is there a way to intercept Ctrl+Shift+F12?

Hi,

can't think of a direct way,
but you could de-assign Ctrl+Shift+F12
from calling the dialog wdDialogFilePrint
and assign it to a macro of yours,
or assign it to nothing, if you like.

Very strange. CTRL-SHIFT-F12 is just a shortcut that calls Word's FilePrint
command.

I have just tried on Word97, Word 2002 and Word 2003. In all cases, my
FilePrint macro is called whenever I do CTRL-SHIFT-F12.
I do not have Wordd 2000 installed yet on my machine... Will get around to
it sometime... I never liked Word 2000... maybe this little bug, if it is
confirmed by others, will be one more reason!

I didn't think of just removing the assignment. That'll work, because I
doubt anyone uses that shortcut for printing, and there are a number of
other ways to print the document.
