Internet Mail not registered

[Stupid]

I am using Outlook 2000 and have done something and now when I check for e-mails I'm getting the following message:

Internet Mail is not registered properly. Please re-install and try again. (Account [my details] Error Number: 0x80040154).

Please could someone help me sort this problem out. I need an idiot's guide to doing it.

I'm getting the same error message in Outlook2003
