Hi guys
I'm working on this issue too and I understand it's being looked at internally. Can you tell me, is anyone reporting this issue who does NOT have an anti-virus program installed? I have been reading a lot of reports about people using McAfee and one report about using Symantec 7.1
I have never had this issue until recently when I started connecting to the net using my office connection. Can you tell me, are the users experiencing this all connecting to the net through a server (Win2k or 2k3 Server?
I have also noticed that it is during periods of high usage. Would it be possible that the SMTP server being used is not responding to outlook in a timely fashion? A possible resolution to this is to disable the "Send immediately when connection" option as it may be retrying this send option if it doesn't receive a response from the SMTP server (ie it's too busy)
Anything else you can think of? I'm getting a report on the SMTP server loads to see if I can tie in times with this problem.
