I'm using Entourage with an Exchange server, and several times I've
experienced the following: My Inbox (in the folder list) will indicate that
there are a certain number of unread messages (by having its title printed
in bold characters followed by the number in parentheses). Looking at the
list of messages, however, shows no unread messages. I can choose "Mark all
as Read" - but that doesn't make any difference; the bold heading and number
in parentheses remains.
I clicked on "Send and Receive" to see if that would help; it didn't.
The peculiar thing is that I can log into my Outlook (Exchange) account on a
PC, and voila! the messages are there. If I read them on the PC, the Mac
reflects this by removing the bold type and number.
This has happened three or four times, and has been witnessed, so I know I'm
not imagining things.
What's going on?
