iPhone Syncing

I posted this last Thursday and haven't seen any responses, yet. Does anyone
have any insight into this issue?

My Entourage address book contains more than a thousand names. I don't want
everyone in the address book to end up on my iPhone.

When I look at the syncing setup for the iPhone that appears under the Info
tab in iTunes, I see a choice for syncing "Selected Groups." I've identified
the persons in my Entourage address book whose information I would like to
appear on my iPhone and assigned them an "iPhone" category that I created.
However, this "group" never appears in the Info section of iTunes. The only
groups that appear are ones that have been created in Apple's Address Book
application.

Is there a way to get Entourage to communicate with Apple's Address Book
application so the names in my Entourage iPhone group are the only names
that end up on my iPhone?

Hi Hal,

if you want to sync your address book data with your iPhone, you will need
to create groups manually in Address Book. It is not possible to use Sync
Services to synchronise categories, or associate categories in Entourage
with groups in Address Book.

I was thinking the same thing but didn't want to post in case someone
knew of a way to do this. Address Book "Groups" don't translate to
Entourage "Categories" or even Entourage "Groups" that I'm aware of.

It would be nice to have a better correlation between Entourage and
Address Book for this sort of thing. Maybe Entourage 2008?

Be sure to let Microsoft know you'd like to see this type of feature by
selecting Send Feedback from the Help menu in any Office application.
