Iphone?

Has anyone heard any thing about entourage and the iphone?
Are entourage users going to be shut out or are they going to have an
application for iphone or some kind of conduit?

I would assume that the iPhone uses iSync to synchronise contacts and
calendar entries. Users of Mac OS X 10.4 and Entourage 2004 can already
synchronise their Entourage data with Address Book and iCal, so I do not
think that Entourage users will be shut out. If I remember correctly, there
will be no third party applications for the iPhone, at least not in the near
future.

But isync doesn't sync everything with entourage.tasks, notes, contact
photos and many other contact fields, etc... Are not synced
Is that going to change?

I have no idea. It's very inconvenient, but you can add pictures to contacts
in Address Book; due to Sync Services limitations, these pictures will not
show up in Entourage, but they *will* show up on the iPhone.

Yeah, but that's really impractical. Actually, contact photos isn't a big
deal but tasks, notes and all the other contact fields are.

Even when the palm first came out like what, 10 years ago? You could map
fields and customize what data is transferred, etc... You could even select
two separate contact folders or calendars to be synced with the device. For
example Work contacts and personal. I can't believe more people don't want
to do that!!

As expensive as all this hardware and software is, I can't believe how
limiting it still is.
