Irritating misfeature reading Usenet

Entourage 2004 has an irritating misfeature when reading Usenet, it insists
on displaying the currently selected message when opening the group. Is
there a setting somewhere to disable this misfeature? I'm getting tired of
scrolling up and up and up to see the new posts. Then I must select a new
post to come back to the same viewing location, even if it doesn't interest
me.

Typical Microsoft misfeature.

Typical Microsoft misfeature.

It's a great feature, requested by hundreds or thousands of users of
previous versions. Don't assume your own desired are everyone's. It allows
you to switch to other areas of Entourage - Address Book, calendar, etc. -
and then switch back to Mail area without losing your place. That it turn
means that there's no longer any need to open separate browser windows to go
the the other areas, littering up the screen, so you can confine yourself to
just one main window easily. (Generally, people who might not appreciate
this feature are those who prefer to open several browser windows, or don't
use the PIM areas at all. I don't know if you find yourself on one of those
categories.)

An antidote:

If you choose to view only unread messages, then moving away to another
newsgroup of mail folder (still within "Mail" area) will NOT return you to
the selected message since it's no longer present. It will open to the top
of the newsgroup or folder messages. In fact it's a good way to "refresh"
Unread Only.
