Is anyone NOT having problems with their rules?

I have to agree with Jay's frustrated post on October 21st. There is
definitely something seriously wrong with Entourage 2004's Rules function.

I have been trying to find a fix for a rule problem since September, and the
only input I have received from Microsoft MVP, Paul Berkowitz, is a snarky
reply suggesting that I try a number of things that I had already indicated
having tried in previous posts.

I have only one single rule that is supposed to apply to ALL messages, and
it doesn't work properly. My message gets forwarded to the 2nd address, but
Entourage just deletes the original message after forwarding, so there's no
record anywhere of it being received - not in the Inbox, Junk Mail, Sent or
Deleted, or anywhere else for that matter.

There are no other rules, and no other actions requested, than simply
"Forward all messages to the second address".

I have deleted the rule three or four times; I've altered the rule to make a
copy of the message before forwarding; I've tried creating a rule to make a
copy and then move it to another folder before forwarding... but still no
success.

We have given up and moved over to iMail, which is not as fancy, but at
least it works...

I have a couple dozen rules, some of them fairly complicated. They all work
fine.

Go to your Sent items and view the message you Forwarded. At the top of the
message, do you see the banner that says "This is your replay to another
message. Show Original"? If so, click on Show Original and see if the
original pops up. Alternately, go to the "Link" menu and see if your
original message is listed under Messages.

If you're able to get the original message, that confirms that it's not
somehow being deleted.

I have several dozen rules across thirteen email accounts and they are
currently working fine. After any database rebuild, I often have to
re-tweak them, but other than that, they are happy.

Thanks for your reply, but unfortunately, you seem to have missed the part
about the messages not showing up anywhere...

The messages don't show up in the Sent Items folder - or ANY other folder on
the entire system, including Inbox, Sent, Drafts, Deleted, etc.!

There is no record of Entourage ever having received or handled the message
at all - it just arrives at the second address without any record of it at
the original address...

There is only one rule, and it couldn't be more straightforward. Send ALL
messages to Address B. Period. It simply doesn't work.

I've just given up!

Thanks for your effort, though...
