Is Entourage any good ?

N

Nigel Ross

Have been a Windows and Office user for years, Have just bought a Mac to
experience an alternative.

Seems that Entourage lacks some MAJOR functionality supplied in Outlook.
I'm just new so I may just be missing a few things so any help appreciated !

How can I sync my Entourage contacts/address book with my PDA (either Sony
Clie or Compaq Ipaq) ? Want to centralise all my information in a single
application rather than use separate products for mail and calendar

Many thanks !

Handheld Synchronization for Palm OS devices is available free from
Microsoft. You can get it here:
<http://www.microsoft.com/mac/downloads.aspx#OfficeX>

Microsoft don't provide a conduit for synchronizing with PocketPCs (that's
kind of ironic, in my opinion). Currently PocketMac is the only third-party
solution that works directly with Entourage:
<http://www.pocketmac.net/>

However, a new product, Missing Sync for PocketPC, was recently released.
Though it only supports iSync-compatible applications at the moment (not
Entourage), they have made a statement regarding Entourage compatibility:
"We know that Entourage is very important to many people, and plan to
address that in the future."

Learn more about Missing Sync for PocketPC here:

If you really wanted to, you could actually use Missing Sync now.
Synchronize contacts between the System Address Book and the Entourage
Address Book by using Paul Berkowitz's ³Sync Entourage-Address Book² scripts
to transfer them perfectly.
