Is it possible to retrieve deleted EntourageCalendar data in Tiger?

My friend mistakenly deleted part of his calendar (before a certain date last year) in Entourage on his new iMac. He is running Tiger 10.4.11. Is there a way to retrieve it, even if it means buying special software? But, of course he would prefer free software.

Not unless he has a backup of his Entourage Identity.
