Is it possible to run a dvd in powerpoint?

I'm not looking to do anything -- I was answering the original poster's
question.

You responded to me with "use Producer," and yes, I'm familiar with it. But
I didn't understand how Producer would play a DVD in PPT, so I suspect the
original poster wouldn't, either.
