Is Microsoft Knlowledge Base Article 257643 a solution?

As regrads to my previous question about failure to spell/grammar check under windows XP would the above mentioned article #257643 provide the answer? I am very hesitant about modifying the windows registry unless there is some reasonable chance of success. My question appears on date 12/16/03. Jason Sachs.

I have recieved a response from Doug Robbins [MVP] to the effect that the Article #257643 is the probabily the solution to my problem. So that everyone is happy I will reenter my problem here again: " I have 2 accounts under Windows XP under which I have installed Word97(unupdated). The Admin Account version of Word 97 shows a functional Spelling/Grammar Check (i.e. Black) . The user account has the same version of Word97 but has the Spelling/Grammar Check off (i.e. Grayed) Is there a way of turning the User account version on?
