Is my key Valid?

D

Duncan UK

At work I've had to format and re-install a computer due to viruses.
As record keeping is low down on the agenda no-one knew what cd-keys were
used on which machine, I used the magic jellybean key finder which gave me
the Windows and Office keys, Windows installed fine, but none of the versions
of Office I've found will accept the key I've got.

Is there a way of finding out if this key is valid, and if so for what
version of office?

(and before anyone asks I won't post the key on here)

no public tools exist to match a product key to an exact SKU (~version) of
a Microsoft product. In normal circumstances, you shall be able to use the
key which you got when you purchased that cd. sorry, no direct way to
resolve this problem.
