Is Office 2000 compatible with XP?

I'm interested in upgrading to MS XP OS, but can't afford to upgrade MS
Office 200 at this time.

I ran the XP upgrade compatability manager and it didn't flag Office 2000,
but I can't find anything that specifically says it will work.

Yes it will. Just make sure you have applied all service packs and patches.

Gordon,

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I believed that was the correct
answer, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Best regards,

The reason that Office 2000 gets flagged is that the executables/dlls that
get installed on Windows 9x/ME and 2000/XP are different. Either you will
be forced thru a detect and repair or you should uninstall Office 2000.
Perform the upgrade and then reinstall Office 2000 after the operating
system upgrade.

Outside of that, Office 2000 runs peachy on XP.
