Is there a Presenter-like solution for PowerPoint 2007

As so often, MS never stops to amaze me - negatively. This time by presumably
not making Presenter available for PPT 2007.
Info on this Group about Presenter seems to be several months old. Does
anyone have any updated information about Presenter hopefully being revived?
Does anyone have a free, or cheap, alternative solution?

Hi

Could you post a link to info about 'Presenter' as I'm afraid I haven't
heard of it (though from your post I'm wondering if you mean Producer).
Perhaps you could tell us more about the project so we are better able to
advise you on alternatives.

Lucy,
Sorry, my mistake. I meant Producer.
I am trying, for minimum $$$, to merge recorded video of a person making a
PowerPoint presentation at a conference and his/her PPT presentation (which I
have a file copy of). I'd like to be able to merge these two sources into one
new file/new product which can be played from CD/DVD and by clicking on a
link on a webpage. And without involving complicated database use.
Other software that can do this (not free):
1) SofTV's "Presenter" (US$4,000+) -
http://www.softv.net/Public/presenter4.asp
2) PresenterSoft's "MediaEasy" (US$200) -
http://www.presentersoft.com/products.htm
or Mac solutions:
3) Vera Software’s “Wirecast 3â€: http://www.slidesnow.com/index.shtml
4) Totally Hip’s “LiveStage Proâ€:
http://www.totallyhip.com/livestage.html
5) SlidesNow's "SlidesNow!" - http://www.slidesnow.com/index.shtml
