Is there a way to animate a motion path?

I'm trying to animate a connector. I'm using an elbow connector and trying to
animate it. I want the connector to draw itself as it appears on the screen.
Is that possible? Do I have to do that in another program or it that doable
with powerpoint?

Try applying the Strips animation. Depending on the position and direction
of the connector, it may do just what you're after.
