Is there an autosave feature for Outlook 2003 Journal entries?

Is there a setting, config, or reg key that will auto save journal entries
without having to click on Save or Save and Close?

When creating a journal entry within an Outlook 2003 contact, currently my
understanding is that if I don’t click on save, the entry is lost. There is
no prompt asking whether or not I want to quit without saving, like in Word,
Excel, etc. or no auto save feature that I know of.

Office has too many inconsistencies within its own applications regarding
whether or not a document needs to be saved manually to save its contents,
which is resulting in many of my entries / work being lost. For example,
when a new contact or note is created within Outlook 2003, once data is
entered into any field, it is saved, nothing is lost. Yet what create a
journal entry within an existing contact such as for a phone call or meeting,
if I don’t click on the save and close button or file then save, everything
entered is lost! YIKES!

Is there any setting I can change so that I don’t loose my date when
creating new journal entries for an existing contact? Sorry for repeating
myself, I am very frustrated and angry after loosing lots of info entered
into journal entries while a phone call is in progress typing in notes only
to loose EVERYTHING.
