ISPs that support Entourage?

Does anybody know of an ISP who supports Entourage? I am running
Entourage X on a Powerbook. All of the ISPs I have contacted say they don't
support "third-party" e-mail programs like Entourage, yada yada yada. Any
advice would be greatly appreciated.

I use it with Cyberonic. It works fine.

What would they consider to be NOT a third-party e-mail program? Aren't
pretty much all e-mail programs third-party programs (e.g., Outlook, Outlook
Express, Eudora, Mail, etc.)?

Many support Outlook or Outlook Express, but not Entourage. Mine works
fine 90% of the time. I need an ISP that will help troubleshoot the other 10%
of the time.

Tell them you're using Outlook Express on the Mac. It's basically the same
thing as Entourage. In fact, you can use OE in Classic mode, then when you
get that up and running, transfer the settings over to Entourage.

I've heard similar speaches from numerous providers who simply had never
heard of a Mac before :-> All that really maters is what protocol they offer
for e-mail. It usually is POP and they also sometimes offer IMAP support. No
matter what, it has never been a problem for me to connect and get my Mail
(even with providers who didn't "support" it).

It just means they have no one in their office who knows where the settings
or preferences are entered, so they can't hold your hand and take you
through it. As Corentin says, it doesn't mean it won't work - because it
will. as Dave says, if they support Outlook Express Mac, just say that's
what you have. You could probably just do everything they tell you directly
in Entourage since the set-up panels are just about the same, but if it
makes it easier, do what Dave suggests and do it in OE firs. If they
"support" Mac at all, they'll "support" OE (they'll know the steps). Even if
they supposedly don't "support" the Mac, you can still do it, but you'd need
someone who knows Entourage or OE to help you if you don't know where the
settings go.
