It takes forever to send out my email with Word attachements

I need to send e-mails with a Word attachment through
Outlook Express to numberous clients. However It takes
forever to send even one ie up to 10 minutes each. The
properties on the Word file states that it is 624 bytes
with 32,768 bytes used. How can I speed this up? Modem is
56k.
