iTunes won't sync contacts, how tdo i turn the plug-in back on?

outlook said the plug in was causing problems, so it turned it off. How do i
turn it back on? i want to be able to sync my contacts onto my iphone.

Not an Outlook issue. Ask whoever supports your synch software.
