journals setup, no enterys recorded, a Norton SystemWorks prob?

Office 2003 Pro, Previously, all enteries were being recorded to the Outlook
Journal as as per help file, but enteries suddenly stopped. Could there be a
conflict with Norton SystemWorks deleting the shortcuts that previously
appeared in the Outlook Journal? Not sure if recent automatic updates did
something or another software is effecting the input to Outlooks Journal
enteries. BTW, Why is the Journal grouped with Contacts on the Option Menu
when it seems to be more related to the Calendar (to me)?
