JPG/Out of memory or system resources

I use Outlook 2002, and I get the out of memory or system
resources error whenever I try to open a .jpg attachment
to an email. I can successfully open Powerpoint and .wmv
attachments but not .jpg. I can of course save the .jpg
file as a file, and then open.
