junk e-mail folder off2003,can it work with exchange 2000

We are trying to use the junk e-mail folder for spamming
on office 2003..just wanted to know if junk e-mail folder
on office 2003 would work with exchange 2000 or do we
have to upgrade to exchange 2003 to make it work
correctly and if it works on exchange 2000...how?Can
anyone help me on this issue..or referee me to a web site?

Outlook 2003 inbuilt spam will work with Exchange 2000 if you are in cached
mode, to set up cached mode go to Tools > Email Accounts > NEXT > highlight
the Exchange account > Change > Check Use Cached Exchange mode > Restart
