junk e-mail won't empty

I've scheduled Entourage to empty my Junk e-mail folder, but it never
happens. How do I get it to do it?

SG,

I do it as follows:

I created a schedule that runs On Quit or Every 2 days (in case I don't
shutdown for a few days). Mine is set to run only if connected, but since
I'm normally on broadband, I'm almost always connected. If you are on
dial-up, you may want to uncheck that check box, so that Entourage will
cause your Mac to dial in when it is time to run the schedule.

This schedule deletes mail from many folders; for my Junk Mail folder it is
set to Delete Mail older than 7 days. (This window is a precaution just in
case something gets assigned to junk by mistake. Since my rules assign all
mail from unknown recipients to Junk, it happens occasionally that a contact
whom I have not entered in the Address Book sends mail.) If you never get
mail misassigned or you check your Junk folder more often, you can change
the number of days.

Finally, if you dial up, you will want to mark what to do after running the
schedule - stay connected, close (disconnect), or return to previous state
(disconnect if Entourage forced the dial-up, otherwise stay connected).

If you already have a similar schedule and it's not working, please describe
the schedule more completely and let us know what the symptoms are.
