Junk email won't delete

I have a rule to empty my junk email folder. When I start Entourage I
get a Window that asks if I want to delete my junk email. I say yes.
Yet, my junk email will not delete. That is, there is always junk
email in the junk email folder.

How do I delete junk email?

Thanks.

How do I delete junk email

Under Tools in the Menu bar select Junk Mail Filter. There is an option to
delete junk mail after xx days.

You can use a schedule to delete junk mail. Select time then for action
select from popup to delete junk mail.

Not sure what your rule is, but the above options will do this automatically
without having you select yes.

I check my junk folder daily looking for good mail. Since I do support I
frequently receive mail from senders not in my Address Book. It's always a
good idea to view junk mail for good mail. After I view the mail, I use the
nuke script to delete spam permanently from my computer. I also have checked
to delete from server when deleted from my computer.

Is it possible it's new junk mail you are seeing? If you want to continue
using your rule, please post the actions you have.

Run Schedule
Edit Schedules
When- repeating schedule every 3 days at start up
Action - delete junk email from junk email (on my computer) older than
3 days.
Enabled.

Make sure the correct Junk folder is selected here.

This should be working. To be sure it's not new spam, can you mark your junk
mail at the end of the day with a category or flag so you'll know if it's
new junk or if the schedule does not work.

I have always used the nuke script, so am not sure if this schedule just
moves the spam to Deleted Items folder or nukes it. If it moves it try
adding to the schedule run AppleScript --> Nuke Messages (You'll have to
download and move the script to Entourage Script Menu folder).

One last thought...delete the schedule and create a new one from scratch.
