Junk Filter and Rules Not Working

My junk filter and most of my rules have stopped working. Both had been
working fine and just stopped. The filter is set at the high setting.
I tried changing the settings, quitting and starting back up
and changing back to the original settings, but it still does not work.
I checked the rules, and they work when messages are highlighted and
you tell Entourage to run a particular rule. I hav noticed, a few
notes lately about this and similar problems and wonder if anyone has
found the cause and solution. I thought maybe the junk mail filter
file in Entourage was corrupt and tried to reload it, but the program
will not let you if there is a file present and you cannot move the
file and reload a new copy because the program cannot find the old
file. As far as I can tell, I am running the latest update to
Entourage, version 11.1.0. My Mac is running OS 10.3.9.

I've seen that one: I had to re-select the destination folder for my
rules. For some reason Entourage ahd lost them.

You can also try rebuilding your database first (hold the alt key down
as you launch Entoruage) since it could also be the result of a
corruption in your database.

Thanks for answering my message. I tried what you suggested, but still
no luck. Darn thing just does not seem to want to work. The rules
work fine if you highlight the messages in the inbox and apply the
rule. I have tried changing the settings on the Junk Mail filter to
exclusive and putting in safe domains but it still routes all mail to
the inbox. Maybe it is a bug and Microsoft will fix.

Are you rules on an IMAP POP or Exchange box ??
