Junk Mail Filter Not Working

I have just installed Entourage on my new machine and the Junk Mail
Filter only catches 2 or 3 messages out of 10. I have the filter set
to high so that just about anyone not in my address book should get
flagged. I know it is not my isp since the same setup on my laptop
works fine. Any ideas on how to fix a broken JMF?

For my junk mail filter I set up some rules. Primary
rule is that if the sending address isn't in my address
book, to forward the message to a "Junk Mail" folder I
created in Entourage. You can add other rules as you see
fit. However, any filter that tries to go on word
matches will be highly ineffective.

There is a little bit of a curve in using rules where you
will need to go through your junk mail messages
identifying what messages you do want to let through to
your inbox, but that doesn't last very long. I would say
that handling junk mail through rules is about 99%
effective for me.

Your best bet is to turn off the Entourage JMF and create your own Junk rule
that says "if the sender is not in the address book, then set the message to
junk" Or you could try SpamSieve, which has gotten good reviews (though I
don't use it myself).
