Junk Mail in Hotmail Account

D

I am using entourage on my Mac to read my email on my hotmail account.

Sometimes, I see an email in the junk mail folder. How do I elect to mark
the item as "not junk mail" and post it on my safe list for future emails
from that address so that future emails will go to the "in box" and not the
junk mail folder? If I log onto the internet, not through Entourage but
through Internet Explorer, I can designated a piece of junk mail as "not
junk mail" and add it to my safe list, but I don't seem to be able to do
this when using Entourage.

Help.

Open up the message (as opposed to viewing it in the Preview Pane).
Near the top, click on the "This is not junk mail" link.

One way to ensure that a message is not labeled as junk is to add the
sender to your Address Book. You may also want to adjust the
sensitivity of your Junk Mail filter by choosing Junk Mail Protection
from the Tools menu.

I opened a junk mail message, and I do not find a button that says
"This is not junk mail."

Any suggestions?

Up near the top of the message, just below your Previous, Next, Reply,
Reply All, etc buttons. There should be a yellow strip that says "This
message appears to be junk mail," followed by a hyperlink. It's not
actually a button.

What version of Entourage are you using?

But like I warned earlier, the Entourage Junk Mail filter is not
actually trainable. It doesn't learn with use. Clicking on that
hyperlink will give you a number of choices, including adding the
sender to your Address Book or creating a rule.

Adam:

There is no yellow strip.

I am using Entourage 10.1.1

In Entourage, I go down to the Hotmail folder and within are the
Inbox, Junk Mail folder, etc. I open the junk mail folder and observe
emails. I select one and open it in full view.

I look at the top of the screen, under the toolbar, and there is not
yellow strip or other box stating that the email does or does not
appear as junk mail.

I am baffled.

Thanks for trying to help. Any futher suggestions?

Ah, I see. These are messages that Hotmail is identifying as Junk, not
Entourage.

To the best of my knowledge, you'll need to log into Hotmail via the web and
classify them as Not Junk. Entourage doesn't have an interface for that.
