Just reinstalled Panther

I was having trouble with Panther, so I reinstalled the OS today, but now
Entourage will not sync with my palm pilot. The error I get is:

The application "HotSync Manager" could not be launched because of a shared
library error: "4<HotSync Manager><HotSync Manager><HotSyncLib.PPC><>"

I did NOT erase the whole disk. Just had the installer create a new System
folder and keep the old one. What do I need to do?

Sorry I do not have an answer to your question, however it seems you
sync Entourage with Palm Pilot.
Can I sync Entourage with a Sync compatible cell phone/ blue tooth?
I am trying to migrate the Entourage address book and calendar to the
phone.

if you know please help,
Thanks,
Max

Hi Matthew!

Your information is still safe. You simply need to reinstall the Palm
Desktop software. You can download it from http://www.palmone.com.
Reinstalling will not overwrite anything important.

Hope this helps! bill

Hi Max!

Bluetooth syncing support is handled by iSync, but Entourage does not use
iSync.

However, Paul Berkowitz has written a script package to sync the Entourage
address book with Apple's Address Book. Then you can use iSync to sync
Apple's Address Book to your Bluetooth compatible phone.

Check out Entourage FAQs here http://www.entourage.mvps.org/faq/faqs.html
and read item number 127.

Hope this helps! bill
