hi, I have a background image via Themes.

I would like to keep the image stationary and have the text scroll as per

I know I can individually go around insert this script on every page but
is there a way to incoporate this into themes?

I've changes my themes.css file with a repeat command but it then doesn't
scroll text etc (also cause no image after you scroll down)

"themes.css"
body
{
font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;
background-image: url(background_globe.gif);
background-repeat: repeat-x;

"themes.css"
body
{
font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;
background-image: url(background_globe.gif);
background-repeat: repeat-x;

Try adding this line:

background-attachment: fixed;

Now take it back out. It'll drive IE nuts. If you want a stationery
background in IE, you will have to use the IE proprietary -

<body bgproperties="fixed" ...>

Patty's only a small legend.... 8)

I've used the other (valid, correct CSS :)) for years and never once had a
problem with IE, Murray.

If you are using a theme
- Modify the Theme to add the "watermark" style:
Format | Theme | Modify | Text - select More Text Styles
Select the body tag and then Modify | Border | Shading and select
Repeat - select no-repeat
Attachment - select fixed
Vertical Position - select center
Horizontal Position - select center
OK|OK|OK|OK & Save As a new theme name and apply the new theme

You will, Patty. For starters, if you use it on anything other than the
body tag, IE will do weird Irish jigs and murmur in tongues.

Thanks, Dean. It's correct, valid code and has never caused a problem for
me, or that I've aware of.
