Key command to go to Inbox

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: pop How do I go to Inbox (view) with a key command like in Outlook?

I try to keep clear of the mouse much as possible: RSI, is slows work down.

In general I think that MS-Mac programmers can do a much better job in making Entourage and the rest of the programs navigatable with key commands. Tab is implemented illogically and second choices in dialog boxes simply don't exist.

Please, have a look how Apple does this! It is so simple and it can such a difference in a day's routine.

You know that CMD+1 takes you to the Inbox view, right?

Sorry, it doesn't. To the list of mail folders, yes, not to to top most folder-thingy, Inbox.
It just shows the contents of the folder you last visited with Cmd-1.

Hit Cmd+1 first to get to the Mail section of Entourage, then hit Tab or
Shift+Tab until the current folder is highlighted in the folder list. You
can then start typing "inb" and it should take you to the inbox at the very
top of the folder list. Typing any name while a folder is selected should
move the selection to the folder which has that name.

@Diane Ross: Thanks, but I'm not sure what this script does. I installed it but got very confused by what popped up.

@Michel Bintener: Your approach is simple and seems to work. When I've got time I try to put the keystrokes in a script to make it fast.

I hope though that Entourage will have more options for key navigating in future and that you will use space bar actively in as a second choice in dialog boxes.
