key replacement

If I have a copy of Office that is on order, and I have discs from another
installation, can I go ahead and install from the discs that are at hand, and
then replace the key once I get the ones on order through the mail? Just
need an expedited solution for setup.

Let me know if the ability to update the keys exists.

This seems to be the relevant article. I don't see whether it directly
answers your question or not, but it may help. The two products would have
to be the same product suite.

I don't think you can "replace the key". If I'm not mistaken, you would have
to uninstall and reinstall.

In a case like this where you really need to install right away, the best
alternative seems to be to download a trial version, then replace it with
the full version when that comes in the mail.
