I always keep getting the keychain message asking for my code to get mail on
my PB, when I'm on the road ok but when I'm at home I would like to set this
off , I have set my keychain to full access but Entourage keeps asking for
the password ,and since I always have my mail checked every 10 min...

It's getting a bit on my nerves...

Anyone with a tip?

thx

In Entourage, in the account settings for the account in question (Tools |
Accounts, Edit), did you check the box for "save password"?

Sometimes you can get that error message even when you ask the app to save
the password. It usually is related to problems in the Keychain itself.
You can go in the Keychain app and use the Repair Keychain command
(command-alt-a if I quite remember). If that doesn't work, try deleting the
entry for the server in the Keychain and let Entourage re-enter the password
once more. I hope it'll help,

Hi,

I tried this but the problem stays the same, because then you always have to
fill in your password each time you launch Entourage.

But funny enough just by trying this the problem got solved :)

It probably more what Corentin proposed what should work, meanwhile its ok
now but I didn't know you could repair your keychain and alt-Command-A is
the right shortcut.

Thank you for your help Corentin , Daiya :)

I don't think that's normal behavior either, certainly not in my Erage 2004.

Yeah, it's something to remember. Repairing the keycain once in a while
can't hurt...

By any chance, are you running both Mail.app and Entourage? I got this
problem the first time I was running both apps (during switching). I'm
not sure what causes this but whenever I switch from Entourage to Mail
(vice versa) the keychain items would get corrupted. Running the
Keychain First Aid helped, though.
